What it does
Put a picture to a scene. Browse preview images and a growing collection of community-contributed video previews, so it’s easier to recognise what belongs in your collection.
Connect performers to their scenes. Search names and aliases, explore actor profiles, and save your favourites to discover more of what interests you.
Use the API with compatible collection tools to identify local files by their fingerprints and retrieve matching scene data, cast, and previews. Available with a paid API plan.
Your home server, connected to prdb
Put prdb.net to work on your own NAS or home server. Two open source apps bring its catalogue and identification to your collection — from finding releases to browsing and playing the files you already own.

Give existing video folders a searchable home with scene information, performer pages, previews, and browser playback for supported formats. Your source library stays mounted read-only, keeping your original files untouched.

Usenet holds one of the largest archives of adult video content. prdb connects a download to its profile — scene and cast data, release names, and whatever preview imagery the community has contributed for it — so your collection ends up properly tagged and visually browsable.
Hash a downloaded file, look the hash up, then batch-fetch the matching scenes, actors, and previews — four calls for a whole import run, not per file. Previews can even be attached to a file by its hash before anyone has linked it to a scene, so fresh releases are recognisable early. Plug it into your existing NZB workflow or use one of the open-source desktop tools that already integrate prdb natively.
Developer first
The prdb API gives you the database itself: scene and actor records, preview and spritesheet endpoints, hash lookup, and incremental change feeds — a plain REST interface designed for open-source collection managers.

prdb is a media database for discovery and collection tools. It provides scene information, actor records, and available previews; a subscription is not a full-video streaming subscription.
